SMP Racing drivers will take part in the online round of the Forza Motorsport 2020 Championship

Due to the current epidemiological situation and ban on holding events in public places, the organizers of the All-Russian Forza Motorsport 2020 Championship (SMP Racing program and SMA sports agency) decided to hold the second round online. It will take place on April 4-5, with the final on Sunday, from 6pm to 8pm Moscow time. The live broadcast of the final races will be avaliable in the official group of the championship from 18:00 (https://vk.com/rusforza).



The online format of the competition will allow a large number of people to take part in it, and it is free of charge: the number of participants will be limited to 3,000. The official car of the round is 2014 McLaren No. 60 Bhaintech 12C GT3, model R813; the official circuit is Watkins Glen. Anyone can register for participation on the game’s website: www.rusforza.com (the “Register” button in the upper right corner) or in the official championship group on VKontakte social network.

“Esports in the current situation is probably the most popular alternative to real racing,” Denis Bulatov said. “Everyone should be at home, but many have consoles, simulators, computers, and they can take part in virtual competitions. I think the online Forza Motorsport 2020 round will be interesting. I myself know the Watkins Glen track only from Esports races, I never drove it in reality. I know the car belongs to the GT3 class, where I competed before. I did not drive a McLaren car, not even during online games. So for me everything will be new and it will be my aim to settle in the game. It takes some time to get used to the controls, the behavior of the car in the game. Only after that you can start looking for moments thanks to which you can win valuable second and improve your lap time. Perhaps this way Esports racing is similar to real-life racing."
