Kirill was fastest in two practice sessions and two qualifying races, and in the qualifying heats he was classified third. In the final race, Smal started from twelfth place, but was able to gain five positions and finish seventh among 34 participants.
“It’s a very difficult competition, with a lot of strong rivals,” Kirill Smal said. “There is very high competition, but I managed to take pole in qualifying practice on Friday, and to win two heats on Saturday. In the final race there was a very tight fight, I fought a lot with my rivals, and I managed to gain only five positions. Of course, I would have liked to move up higher, especially since I had good pace, but there was not enough time.”
On February 21-23, the second round of the WSK Super Master Series will take place at the same South Garda Karting circuit.
