Three new drivers in SMP Racing Youth program

The youth sector of the motorsport development program SMP Racing has filled up with three young karters. Now Nikita Bedrin (Belgorod), Cyril Smal (Aramil) and Dmitry Ignatov (Moscow) will also perform in Russian and European competitions with SMP Racing logo. Last weekend the young drivers had already their first competition as a part of the program - the WSK Night Edition race and the stage of the Russian Karting Championship.

In the "Mini" class there were 10-year-old Nikita Bedrin and 11-year-old Cyril Smal in the night race at the Italian Adria. Having won all qualification heats and the prefinal, Bedrin successfully participated in the final race, climbing to the highest step of the podium. But we can not say that the victory was easy for the Russian - separation from the closest pursuer was at the finish line just 0.046 seconds. Smal also had a successful weekend, progressing with each race from the 32nd time in qualifying to 6th position in the final race.

The third stage of the Russian Karting Championship took place this weekend in Zelenograd. 9-year-old SMP Racing driver Dmitry Ignatov won bronze in the "Mini" class. Nikita Bedrin was the stage winner in the higher category of "Super Mini", our driver Ruslan Fomin closed the top five of the class, Cyril Smal finished 7th.

And Nikita Bedrin’s victory in WSK Night Edition showed that even at this age, our children are able to compete successfully on the European karting scene, showing a good level of training. "
