GP2 Series
The GP2 Series youth championship has been held for over ten years and now it is considered to be the last step of the racer to Formula-1. The GP Series stages are held on the same tracks and on the same dates when the Grand Prix competitions are organized. It enables the racers to approve themselves in front of the owners of the most prestigious races of the planet. The GP2 Series season traditionally starts on the dates of the Formula-1 Bahrain Grand Prix, then the youth championship travels all over the European tracks of the World Championship as the support races and it finishes the season with the races on the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

In the GP2 Series races all drivers drive the cars with the unified Dallara car frames.

The weekend format
One GP2 Series stage includes two races. Starting grid of the first ride is determined in the qualification process and in the second ride the racers start according to the previous race results according to the “reverse” grid rule.
