The Formula 4 has been held since 2015. The series is designed for young drivers and is the starting point in the "formula" championships, after karting. In previous years, the championship was called SMP F4 and was held at various autodromes internationally. The graduates moved to more advanced "formula" classes, where they continue to perform successfully. Since 2019, the series has been held at the Russian autodrome under the auspices of the Russian Federation of Autosport (RAF) and with the support of SMP Racing, the development program of the Russian motorsport. The organizers set as their main goal to develop the formulas class in Russia and attract new participants.
