The authorities of the circuit together with SMP Racing, the development program of the Russian motorsport will be present at the event.
On April 27, the opening of the new season of the SMP Racing NRing Academy will take place on the track located in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. SMP Racing drivers Vitaly Petrov, Mikhail Aleshin, Alexey Basov, Victor Shaitar, Alexander Vartanyan, Pavel Bulantsev, Nikita Volegov will attend the opening ceremony and show their support to the young members of the Academy.The SMP Racing Academy was established at the NRing circuit in 2017. Its main goals are to train young drivers in the basics of motor racing, to select young talented drivers who will later have the opportunity to develop and improve racing skills, as well as to give full support to current drivers of the SMP Racing junior program and help them improve their skills further.
Members of the SMP Racing NRing Academy have theoretical and practical classes at the Nizhny Novgorod Ring. They study the design of go-kart, learn sports rules and improve their racing skills on the kart track.

11:30 - 12:00 – press conference of SMP Racing NRing Academy and NRing circuit executives and SMP Racing drivers;12:00 - 13:00 – autograph session of SMP Racing drivers;
13:00 - 16:00 – preparation for the karting marathon, master classes from SMP Racing drivers;
16:00 - 21:00 – karting marathon of the SMP Racing NRing Academy members and SMP Racing drivers;
21:30 – awarding ceremony.
