Vitaly Petrov spoke with Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko about the success of SMP Racing

Vitaly Petrov took part in a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation and the President of the Republic of Belarus.

At the meeting with Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, the SMP Racing driver spoke about the achievements of the SMP Racing team, such as third-place podium in 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the third place in the FIA World Endurance Championship standings, as well as the success of the program in various championships and series.

Andrey Zhigunov, the seven-time Russian Rally champion, and Vladimir Vasiliyev, the winner of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies, have also attended the meeting.

The presidents of the allied states expressed their support for the Russian drivers and wished them success in future competitions.

“I am incredibly pleased to meet with our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and that I could personally tell him how our SMP Racing team became the first Russian team to take the podium in LMP1 highest class in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race and achieved great results in the FIA World Endurance Championship, ” Vitaly Petrov said. “I would like to say thank you to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko for the words of support! Very honorable and pleasant!”
