SMP Racing driver Denis Bulatov will spend the upcoming season in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup.

Bulatov will drive the car of the German Rinaldi Racing team alongside the Russian Rinat Salikhov, with whom Denis took part in the FIA GT Nations Cup in December 2018, and David Perel, the driver from South Africa.

The squad will compete in the Silver Cup category, where only the Silver-graded drivers are allowed. It is also possible for a squad consisting of two Silver drivers and one with a Bronze category to compete in this class. Categories are assigned by the FIA in accordance with the age and sporting achievements of drivers. Denis Bulatov became a Silver-graded driver in 2019.

“I look forward to the start of the racing season and do my best to be ready for it,” Denis Bulatov said. “Our squad will drive Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO, the same car, which my SMP Racing colleagues Mikhail Aleshin, Davide Rigon and Miguel Molina shared in 2018. I am familiar with the Rinaldi Racing team from last season, as I drove their car in Bahrain at the FIA GT Nations Cup of Nations. Back then, we also competed together with Rinat Salikhov and took the fourth place in the overall standings. I like the way the team works, I know that every member of it wants to achieve high results, so they are very committed and motivated. Together we will try to fight for the podium and constantly be in the top five of our Blancpain GT Series Endurance Silver Cup category.”
