Russian Series of the Circuit Races
The Russian Circuit Racing Series is an official national and one of the most important Russian competition in automobile circuit racing with the status of the Championship and the Cup of Russia.

Touring car racing is a competition on specially modified versions of road-going cars. This type of competition is not only very popular among fans of motor racing, but also plays a big role for car manufactures, as the race allow them to demonstrate their achievements.

The Russian series of ring races is rightfully considered one of the oldest motor racing competitions in our country, as it has been held for more than 60 years. In 1955, the first USSR circuit racing championship was held. RCRS is the next stage and format of the ring championship RRC. The first season of the updated series took place in 2014. Since 2015, cars of five classes are presented in the SMP RCRS:

• Touring - cars with the highest engine power (about 300 horsepower); BMW 320si, LADA GrantaSport, SEATLeonSupecopa, SubaruBRZ, SEAT Leon Racer cars, modified in accordance with the rules of the TCR International series championship.
• Touring Light - an engineering class of cars with significant modifications and power of about 200 horsepower (Volkswagen Polo, Renault Twingo, Kia Rio, Ford Fiesta, SEAT Ibiza, Peugeot 208, LADA Kalina).
• Super-production - the cars of the past years class with a capacity of about 250 horsepower (HondaCivic, RenaultClioRS, LADAGranta).
• National - the most affordable class of cars produced in Russia. Drivers participating in LADA Kalina cars, as well as Volkswagen Polo Sedan, Kia Rio, Renault Sandero.
• The National Junior Championship of the RSRC - a youth series for participants aged from 14 to 17 years old, performing on cars of the Volga Automobile Manufacture) (VAZ-2108, Priora и Kalina).

Every year more than 90 drivers in various cars of both Russian and foreign origin take part in this event. Competitions are held on modern aerodromes in Moscow, Sochi, Kazan, Grozny, Nizhny Novgorod and Smolensk.

RSKG is rightly considered to be one of the main championships of the country.

Within the framework of each stage of the Russian Series of the Circuit Races Championship there are several rides of cars in different classes and for each of them the racers gather points in the overall standing.
