Boris Rotenberg, Vitaly Petrov and Egor Orudzhev attended a celebration in the Leningrad Region

Boris Rotenberg, founder and leader of SMP Racing, and SMP Racing drivers  Vitaly Petrov and Egor Orudzhev took part in the event dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of the founding of the Leningrad Region.

The celebration was held on August 2 in Boksitogorsk.

Drivers took part in a sports parade: together with other famous athletes, they drove racing cars in formation along the streets of the city. Egor was at the wheel of the formula car and Vitaly was driving the BR01 prototype.

The event was opened by the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko, who greeted everyone with a welcoming speech. Then, residents and guests of Boksitogorsk took part in the celebration with many activities for all members of the family.

Every year, the festival takes place in different cities of the Leningrad region. Next year, Vsevolozhsk will take over from Boksitogorsk.

“I was very pleased to participate in such an important event for my native Leningrad region,” SMP Racing driver Vitaly Petrov said. “For me, it's like standing again on the podium. We drove only a few hundred meters, but did it in our native country. And I was proud that I could show the audience our BR01 car, which took the podiums of world races. Thanks to everyone who came to the event, it turned out to be a great day- we felt that special atmosphere that always is at events taking place in your homeland.”

“It was interesting and pleasant to take part in the parade in honor of the 92nd anniversary of the foundation of the Leningrad Region,” SMP Racing driver Egor Orudzhev added. “I took part in such an event for the first time, everything was new for me, but I really enjoyed it. It was nice to see how many residents and visitors came to the holiday - I think it was a success.”
