SMP Racing is the Most Large-Scale and Successful Automotive Sport Program in Russia
The program purpose is to popularize the automobile racing in our country. Since its launch in 2013 dozens of young Russian drivers who already managed to achieve success on the Russian and global automobile racing arenas have become its participants.
The SMP Racing Program encompasses all stages of the racer’s career ladder. Karting is the first one. Karting Schools for children opened within the framework of the SMP Racing Program enable the youngest boys to get into the exciting world of automobile racing and to try hand at their first races.
The most talented karters move to the next level and participate in the national competitions. The Kart Racing Championship and Competition of Russia are also held with support of the SMP Racing Program.
The most gifted racers who have managed to achieve success in the Russian Kart Racing Championships with support of the SMP Racing Program can participate in the European and World Kart Racing Tournaments.
The next step of the young racing driver is to move to the touring car or formula championships.
The Russian Circuit Racing Series (RCRS) is the most prestigious national racing championship also promoted by SMP Racing. Dozens of racing drivers from different regions of Russia fight for the right to be the best ones in four classes of the touring cars.
Those people who connect their future with the formula series can move to the next step of the automobile racing ladder and try hand at the SMP Formula 4 Championship organized by SMP Racing with Koiranen GP, the Finnish company. In the course of the SMP Formula 4 Championship the drivers are taught not only to drive sophisticated racing cars but also to work with engineers and mechanics, to communicate with media and they also gain other skills required for the professional racer.
Participants of the SMP F4 Championship are prepared to the next stage of their career. Supported by SMP Racing the racers participate in such competitive championships as Formula Renault, Formula 3 and other similar youth championships. Subsequently, the drivers move to the most prestigious racing series that open way to the World Championships, namely, the World Series by Renault, GP2 and AutoGP.
The upper part of this ladder is represented by such prestigious championships as the FIA World Endurance Championship, the European Le Mans Series and IndyÑar where the SMP Racing drivers not only honorably represent Russia but also take the highest podium steps of these championships.
